In order to setup UVPackmaster in Maya follow the steps for your OS included below.

Windows

Follow the steps:

  1. Before installing, close all open Maya windows in your system.

  2. Download the latest version of the UVPackmaster installer for Maya from the marketplace where you purchased your license. The name of the installer follows a pattern: uvpm-engine-maya-pro-{VERSION}-windows-x64.exe.

  3. After downloading, install the engine in the system (by running the installer exe file as you usually install applications in Windows). Note the installer is signed by the publisher: 3 Coords Computing Łukasz Czyż.

Accept the certificate if Windows ask you for it:

  4. During installation select the path where you want to install the engine. If you already have other UVPackmaster for Maya installation present in your system (e.g. an older version), the installer will automatically remove it before installing the new engine.

  5. Allow Visual Studio Redistributable to be installed, if the engine installer ask you for it. The package is required for the engine to run.

  6. Restart the system, if the engine installer ask you for it after the installation is complete.

  7. Open Maya. In the top menu, go: WindowsSettings/PreferencesPlug-in Manager. In the Plug-in Manager, find two folders which have been added by the installer:

    • ../uvpackmaster3/module/plugins
    • ../uvpackmaster3/module/pluginsXXXX (where XXXX denotes the given Maya version).
  8. The first folder will contain the uvpackmaster3_maya.py plugin, the second one will contain the uvpackmaster3_lib.mll plugin. Check Loaded and Auto load for both plugins:

  9. You can now use UVPackmaster 3 in Maya.
