The final version of the documentation for Maya is still under construction. This temporary version is based on the Blender documentation, though its contents is relevant to Maya as well (both variants use the analogical UI).

Option Presets

In order to speed up your workflow, you can save all current packer properties to a preset file.

This feature can be accessed using the Option Presets icon in the Main Mode subpanel:

In addition to the option to Save and Open presets, there is also the Reset To Defaults option for all packer properties.

After pressing the Save button, the file browser window will pop up, where you can choose the name and location for the preset. The default browser location will always be the so-called standard preset directory. All presets saved in the standard preset directory can be quickly accessed them from the Option Presets menu (you only need to click on the preset name in order load it):

Another advantage of the standard preset directory is the fact that all presets saved in the directory will be shared between all Maya versions installed in the system. Also the presets will not be deleted when uninstalling Maya or the UVPackmaster engine itself.

Standard preset directory path

The standard preset directory path is system-dependent and has the following values:

  • Windows: %AppData%\UVPackmaster\maya\engine3\presets\
