Dynamic Tiles option: when UVs are packed with Dynamic Tiles on, the packer will automatically determine the number of target tiles to use – it will use as many tiles as possible to pack the UVs efficiently:

The Advanced Heuristic option now may take 3 values:
- Automatic (Recommended) – the packer will automatically determine whether the Advanced Heuristic method is desirable for a given UV map,
- Disable,
- Enable.
Automatic is always used by default.
Much faster heuristic search for the optimal result for UV maps with a limited number of islands (assuming Advanced Heuristic is set to Automatic).
Support for handy set menus for fast setting of certain per-island parameters:
Support for changing the texel density unit in the Preferences multi panel (global setting). Supported units are:
- px/m (default value)
- px/cm
- px/in
- px/ft.
Every time you change the option value, the packer will automatically adjust all your texel density-related settings (values stored in presets, properties and per-island assignments in all blend files) to automatically match the new unit, so you don’t have to recalculate the values manually.
After you change the unit, remember to save Blender preferences to make the change permanent.
Fix for heuristic search with both Fixed Scale and Dynamic Tiles options enabled.
Misc bug fixing.
